Shaking, Engine's Rattling

My car just started shaking when i stop or when I'm doing city driving. My engine light's on and I want an opinion before I pay more than I really hafta. I popped my hood to see if everything was normal, and the engine's shaking. Could it be a bracket?
Also, there's been some hesitation for some time but it comes and goes and never produced a problem. I had a transmition flush and that was supposed to stop the hesitation but, obviously, never did. Any ideas on what's going on? Thanx!

Have you had your car tuned up recently? The wires and plugs may need to be changed. That could be a problem with the hesitation. The motor shaking could be a motor mount. It may be starting to warp or crack. Get that checked out!

Agreed. Motor mount is my 1st guess (not a mechanic though). I would go REAL easy on the accelaration while driving it (hopefully straight to the mechanic.) I imagine that IF it isn't under warranty then you are looking at $$$. Removing the engine is always expensive...i'm told.
I would think that if you have any mods you want done to the car (and have some more $ if no warranty) then now is the time. Less labor charges/time.

mY guess would be a busted engine mount also.

Ok, I went for a diagnostic test and turns out I needed new spark plugs.... tune-up while I was there, too. So there's the solution. The hesitation I've had all this time was because my spark plugs were bad.
