Anti-theft Alarm Sounds w/o Known Cause

I have a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo. It is very good condition, except for one current problem. The "anti0theft' system is having some problems. It will sound for no apparent reason. A couple of observations: 1-It seems to only happen at my work, and I work for the Army (I have read that maybe some radio signals can cause this?). 2-I have not been using the "remote keyless entry" (one is broke the other the wife has). 3-It obiviously doesn't do it when the doors are not locked.
Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

The alarm goes off randomly:
Rodeo: It's the tailgate switch. Open the door, take off the 2 Phillips head screws that hold the pin switch on (the one that controls the light) and stick two or three washers behind the switch under each screw.
Enjoy!

Sorry "amigo-2k" that it took so long to relpy. I couldn't check my email for some time. I tried your suggestion about 1 week ago, and it seems to be working. Thanks for you help, and for you link to "FAQ Rodeo Questions".

I have the same car(1998 Rodeo 4WD) and same problem, alarm would go off for no apparent reason. I was gone for the day yesterday, and it kept on going off(according to the cops). Long story short, got it towed and had to shell out $270(big ones). Could you elaborate more on this alarm problem more? Do you need to open up the tailgate panel to get to it? Also is there a way to permanently to disable it(if needed)? Thanks in advance.
