hey, i just wanted to ask about the LS, which i think is a beautiful car.
my brother is thinking of buying a 2004 LS but i'm hearing about all these electrical and mechanical problems.
has ford done anything to fix these problems and if so, is this a reliable car to buy??
my dad has a 96 taurse and he has all kinds of electrical problems along with the tranny slipping and making hard shifts.
i'm starting to doubt the reliability of ford and its cars.
any help on the LS would be great, THANKS.

The LS has no more, and in many cases less, problems than any other manufacturer. Don't bother taking my word for it. The dissatisified are always loud and drown out folks like me. Go get a current Consumer Reports and read up.

I agree with CGGorman, it has some problems but its nothing more remarkable than any other vehicle. I have a 2001, and still love going for a drive. Consumer Reports likes it, and so does Edmunds.com. Do some reading and take it for a drive. The complainers will sit and bitch, the rest of us are out driving. :)
