is fule pump upgrade necessary for running 15psi? what about 16psi?

If you are talking about the stock T25...then no, you do not need a fuel pump upgrade. I have been doing that since shortly after I got my car (about 2 years ago), with no ill effects. You can get the T25 to boost over 15lbs but according to GSXRacer after 15psi you are heating the air too much, thereby running the turbo too hard for no gain in power. Enjoy!
By the way.....you do have an aftermarket boost gauge....right????

i am shopping for it right now. i am getting that even before the EBC. in fact.. here it goes. boost gauge, AF gauge, Torque converter, EBC, and then FMIC. right now i have the UICP, cat back, down pipe, Air filter, and BOV modded.
i am assuming that by getting a FMIC it'll cool the 16psi air enough to get a noticable performance gain. ?

If I were you, I would approach it differently. Looking at the mods you have I would do the following....Ax the AF gauge (according to all of the guys here they are only good for making a really neat light show). I would recommend getting a MBC as opposed to an EBC. EBC's are neat but most people will advise you to spend your money on other things (personal preference and budget on this one). As for the FMIC....the stock, from what I have heard, is good for up to an EVO III 16g. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Summary: I would get a boost gauge, MBC, and then go for a turbo upgrade (EVO III 16g seems to be the best bang for the buck).....then from there, budget permitting, larger injectors, fuel pump, and SAFC (or datalogger and DSM link).
Hope this helps....and just remember....it's your money and you should get whatever you want. I am just giving you my opinion on what would probably give you the best HP gains for you dollar.

getting a 16G and put it on costs more than a FMIC and labor doesn't it

I seriously doubt that getting the evoIII 16g would cost more than a FMIC.. not only that, but you'd get much more gains by upgrading the turbo than you would the intercooler.

FMIC will probably cost more because of the new piping and it definately won't give ya the gains of an upgraded turbo! Me myself and i is going with the EVO III 16 g after this summer then prolly dsmlink, that will drain what i have earned from the military, but definately drop the AF gauge, doesn't seem to do good but give ya nice light show
The EBC, i have a profec B spec II and will soon learn how to use it, but i bet its worth it, get a used one off ebay is hte best way to go, got mine for 200

You can't just get the evoIII 16g. You have to upgrade the fuel system. you can run it on stock boost (I was doing it till I got my injectors and pump in.. plus my fmic.. wait shit... I"m still doing that.) but you won't notice a huge difference at stock boost levels. the evo is cheaper than a good fmic. and will most definitely give you better gains. but save up and get the support mods to go with the turbo so you can use it to it's full potential.
From what I"ve read and heard the smic won't handle the evo 16 on raised boost applications. it gets heat soacked pretty bad. the cheapest route I found was a spearco core and custom piping. I went with the SBR/Kinetic. Highly recommended by many people and friggin HUGE. IM me and I"ll send you a pic. I spouted off and made myself look like an ass on here cause I didn't take the time to figure shit out with the plumbing before the install and confused myself (I was trying to route it through the stock location... yea.. I"m dumb) but got that figured out and bolted on. (had to cut about 2 inches off the one pipe to get it on comfortably but wasn't too bad once I pulled my head out of my ass) I would suggest it.
But anyway, def install your boost guage first. then upgrade your fuel system and the turbo. just run stock boost levels till you can afford the FMIC. Good luck

For what its worth, I was running around 110 mph and mid 12s on the stock sidemount and a 14b. Its a pain the ass though, becuase youre always on the brink of knock. An FMIC is a huge peace of mind upgrade. You could do turbo and FMIC is either order, but niether will do a whole lot until you have them both. But I would do the 16g on the SMIC before I would do the t25 on a FMIC.

cool guys!>... thanks for the inputs. i think i'll definitely go with gauges, torque convertor, EBC, first, then possibly later on the 16G, fule pump and FMIC.

ya i agree with that! i got the FMIC first because i wanted to get it out of the way and not have the urge to push an unsupported turbo and blow my shit up pre-maturely. the TC is definitly a very important thing in your drivetrain to upgrade because you may be limited as to the power you can get to the wheels ;)

is a torque converter needed for a manual? I thought they were for auto's. But I'm a dumbass. so that might be why I thought that... guess thats why I'm an 11B. just gimme a gun and let me shoot somethin and I"ll be happy
