drivin.....Anyone seen it

Hows that new movie Drivin ? From what the reviews and the critics say its pretty $#@! but i still wanna see it . But what i really want to see is The Fast And The Furious now that is what im waiting for . Any other good movies out ?

Anyway, I was going to see it yesterday, but my dopey friend called the wrong mall (movies at the mall), so we show up to the wrong mall, and it's not playing. So then we just walked around aimlessly, while yelling at him.:D

AWESOME MOVIE!!!!
IT was really good, there were incredible special effects (the carbon fibre cracked, flapped, ripped, etc), the re was only one substandard effect, when the wheel went flying into the air, and almost smucked some people! (watch it and see what I mean)
There were excellent race scenes, incredibly close, fast and amazing. I want to see it again, as the sound and visual feast is enough to make a car-nut cry. It is amazing. Lots of crashes, and awesome film of the races themselves. These types of camera angles hust can't be seen on speedvision!

The story goes like this. Rookie Jimmy Bly is not very consistent, so teh team owner brings back Stallone (can't remember his name, not important) to whip him into shape. then you get a movie going, with awesome races, and a basic plot (those are the best ones.) Then the owner says if Bly can't win the championship, hes gone (which is so fake, the guy is a rookie and is in the running? geez.) Anyway, he wins the championship. It is awesome, and I won't give it all away. JUST GO SEE IT!!!

Oh yah, there are really hot chicks in it to.

PS, if the critics say its bad, its good (witness DRIVEN) na dif they say it good, its bad (see Traffic)

PSS, the movie made me sad, because I have the will and desire to do that, but not the money or enthusiastic parents. DAMN IT:mad:

I want to see both of em'. I also saw the Supra that they used in "The Fast and The Furious" for sale in the Dupont Registry.

Can you tell us more abouyt hte Supra. And does DuPont have a website?:confused:

OMG that movie was pretty awesome :D i liked all the special effects and racing and more racing .......Its a pretty good movie i would recommend it to everyone . I think this is going to build up to this summers The Fast and The furious ....:flash:

Yes, Driven is the hottest movie I've seen in a long time. . .


Interesting though, unlike most movies nowadays, every comes out a winner . . . it amazed me . . . the underlying plot left everybody happy and FRIENDS in the end of the movie . . .

Since the opening press conference, every scene was filled with emotion, and gets my heart pumping just typing this post . . . I'm going back to see it again and again and again . . . I haven't done that since The Matrix . . .

By the way, here in NY (USA), two guys were handing out surveys from the producer(s) on opening night . . . did anybody else get a survey to fill out?

Yah, I get emotional just thinking about it. And there not F1 cars, they are Champ cars, with turbo'd V8's with 900+hp, as opposed to NA V10's with 800+hp (some are worse, like Minardi)
LOVE THAT MOVIE!!

I heard the fast and the furious' cars, were justwatered down base models with flashy stuff attached. Like a RS eclipse, damn..... it was smokin :bonghitte hehe, wrong smokin. But I will find the thread I saw that on and try and post it.

I saw Driven today. I wasn't all that impressed. The special effects looked fake. Especially the flying wheel scene. It did have a few cool parts. I liked the street race and the part when Papis's car launched off the other one. The actual racing scenes were pasted together with shots from different tracks. Some of which were from both oval and road courses. Stalone's old girlfriend was really annoying, but probably the only hot chick, besides the race chicks, in the movie. She never seemed to stop smiling. Overall I'd give it a B. It's worth seeing, but I wouldn't pay $6.50 to see it again.

another good movie i saw this weekend on tv was the patriot ..where mel gibson is fighting in the civil war . Now thats a really good movie even though it has not a thing to do with cars
