I didn't believe it when I first saw it a few months ago. So I did it my self

I cut that verse of the song out, put it into Cool Edit Pro V.2 (Recording software) and converted it to .wav (can be done in other programs, winamp 3 i think as well) then used Microsoft's Recorder to flip it, and yes, it's true.

I also fliped Queens' "Another one bites the dust", and it sounds a little like 'it's fun to smoke marawana" (i know that's the wrong spelling [marijuana] but that's how it's pronounced on the recording)

I seem to recall many years ago the group Slayer were taken to court alleging there were reverse satanic messages in their music. They beat the case by playing all their records backwards and coming up with all sorts of strange "messages". Stuff like "She gave me a mint, I asked her to give me one". The point being that people will over analyse gibberish and hear what they wish to hear. Goes back to at least the sixties with the alleged "Paul is dead" messages on Beatles recordings.

Frank Zappa commented on the whose sorry mess with one song, which when played backwards spoke the helpful message “this is the wrong side of the record”. :lol:

i remember hearing this stuff when i was 14 at my friend's house...was weirded out for a little bit..and the thing is that it's an earworm too....wasn't great..having that in my head:p

Mindless Self Indulgence did a song to make fun of all the people who talked about satanic messages.

Played forward it's blatantly satanic "Hate all the people you love, in a river of blood" and "Mother Fucker, Go kill yourself" and other such things. And you can hear backmasking through the whole thing.

Played backwards it says things like "Go clean your room." "Do your homework" "Eat your vegetables".

At the very end of it forward (and the beginning of it backwards) there's some backmasking and it says "Dont listen to this song"

I love MSI and I just thought that was kinda cool.

I was wrong it wasn't Slayer, it was Judas Priest. A google search reveals the case was Vance versus Judas Priest 1989, prosecution alleged backwards messages caused two youths to suicide. Be warned there is a nasty picture of gunshot wounds to the face of one of the youths who survived and (possibly more shocking) 80's metal fashion.

The reason I thought Slayer must have been because they were(or are?) also on trial recently. This time it was claimed their music lead to a murder. Ozzy Osbourne has been on trial over songs too, but not for backwards stuff.

It's obvious that these messages aren't intentional, and many are borderline unintelligable. It's just interesting to see there is some truth behind the age old "Stairway to Heaven" story.
