Well i've gotten the new head on my 91 hb dx after having burnt a valve. cleaned all the valves up reseated them all, and new valve seals. bolted it on and it runs great. or so i thought. i've got 165,000 on a tired d15, and now its really showing. the car smoked just a little before and only at high rpm's. now however the sum bitch smokes all the time. heaven forbid i get on the highway it's like smoke screen behind me. fortunatlly i have a d16z6, i need to tear it apart and put new crank bearings and piston seals in it. is there anything i can do in the mean time for the poor little d15 that could. and how long you think it might hold out before it burns its last grain of rice.

It will not be long until the rice-a-roni train comes your way I would say depending on what it is. You probably have a good 3-5000 left on her. When you start burning spark plugs up from burnning so much oil, Thats when I would worry, the ceramic will get in between the piston and the cyl. walls and then your done.

Another thought since you just did the valves maybe your getting oil down the valve guides. If they seat it may go away.

when i first got the car it burnt 1L of oil to 30L of gas, 5k later it was 1L oil to 10L of gas 1k later it was 0/0 she blew, so, as it was put, not long... sorry
