manual transmission oil change

Hi,

Sorry for posting in a different forum but I guess I am trying my best shot at this.

I have a protege, and was looking at the owners manual for maintenance of manual tranny. There is NO oil change suggested for the tranny for the lifetime of the car, that sounds funny. I was wondering if I should get the tranny oil changed, and if it is possible.

Engine is a 99 protege 1.6 L

Thanks

es

it's possible and it wouldn't hurt if you have a higher mileage car.

It currently has 75000 miles on it. Guess its a good candidate?

I doubt it needs to be done... but if you want to go to the trouble then go for it

if the manual for your protege says that there doesnt need to be an oil change for your tranny, then i probably would follow what the manual says.
