Damn! Poor Dude. Never has happened to me, luckily. What has happened is that i go from first 8200 rpms to second and when i go to third the gear does not grab and i just floor the car in neutral. It has happened two times in the year that ive driven my car.

Did his engine fu*k up? You can see the tachometer going to 12,000 rpms or some shit.

I'm quite new to cars, what exactly did he do wrong? Never driven a standard btw.

He accidentally shifted from 3rd back into 2nd.

wow...i would drive really slow after something like that

its a pretty common mistake for new manual drivers if your not paying attention. only because when you attempt to shift from third to fourth your right arm pulls in a little to the left so in some cars its easy to miss fourth and get into second

i've done a 4th to 3rd meaning to go into 5th... lets just say i got a little jerk... that was when i had my shifter way too tight..

I got a question... I have made the accidentle downshift b4 but thats when i was driving completely normal (shifting at like 3.5k-4k) and it was fairly easy to go in, how hard is it to go in when you revin the engin to 7.6k or so... And would the Fuel cut off come into play, so would u just drop your tranny?? Maybe i am just confused... thanks

i thought for some reason there was a lock that prevented you from going to 3rd to 2nd at that high rpms???

Ricochet

The only lock is you can't go from 5th into Reverse. Try it on your car while sitting in the driveway. This kid slammed it back into 2nd though, but otherwise yeah it would be hard to get in.

its not 100% his fault, since the rsx type-s 6 spd tranny's have been known to have problems. (Grinding...easy slippage from 3rd to 2nd and 5th to 4th)

Its only 99.9% his fault :loser:

ouch. and yes its true 99.9999% that morons fault
