lost power in a turn

I was on here back 3-21-04 regarding my fuel pump (recall) and my spark plugs and wires. My car has just under 99,000 miles on it and for the most part has only needed basic upkeep (2000 Ford Focus). I had the fuel pump replaced back in March and when I was on here before I remember reading something about the focus loosing power in a turn. My car had never done this up untill last week. I was in the middle of traffic and not going more than 7 miles an hour and my car lost all power. The steering wheel had no give well very VERY hard to turn. I just about ran straight into a car but slammed the brakes on quick enough. I put the car in park and turned the key off and on again and it started right up. This has never happened before and has not happened again since. Does anyone have any idea what I should be looking for or what I need to tell the dealer when I take it back in again. More than likely they will want to put it on the machine and charge me 140 bucks again to tell me what it is that is wrong. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. For the most part though my Focus has given me no trouble and like I said I have like 98,867 miles on it. Not to bad!
Thanks

Fuel pump again. Things can happen. Maybe the dealer didn't use the newer pump or maybe it was a bad pump. But that's what you just discribed. Fuel pump.

I'll have to agree. There is an updated pump that is being installed now. I have installed a few in Focus' that have already been through a recall situation in the past.
