I saw a picture of what was labeled as a 1969 Firebird Trans Am. It was probably the best looking Pontiac I have seen. The thing is is that I can not find anyone selling a 1969 Firebird Trans Am. So basically I'm wondering if this car truelway was a 69 FTA, and also any websites dedicated to Trans Ams.

Thanks

There were VERY FEW '69 Trans Ams made, especially compared to later years they were made in the tens of thousands.
There are lots of fake early T/A's out there now.

DANGER! WARNING! Too many clones out there. Yes, the '69 T/A is VERY desirable, and a VERY competent performance car.
The only way to be certain the car is for real, is to take the VIN to Pontiac Historic Services (I think they're at PHS.com), pay the fee and get the build sheet. REAL T/As had steel hoods. All the clones will have fiberglass. The vast majority were the "Ram Air III" engine, with D-port heads. About 88 of them (in '69) were the Ram Air IV engine. 400 was the ONLY engine size available in '69.
Hope this helps a bit.
