yea im sure you could, but then you have to worry about the excess getting into your intake, but i wouldnt do it

Well I will just have to not glob it on, or I could reuse the old gaskets couldn't I? I mean they are not under stress like the head gaskets or any others. I also could just put a little bit of rtv on the old intake gaskets to ensure a good seal.

If its a lot of work to get to and change, Ide say go get new gaskets.. With re-using the old gaskets, or just using RTV.. Its not gonna last as long as the proper gasket

i would use a gasket where the ports meet, because with the way the intake and heads meet, without a gasket in there, it may not torque down far enough. then use sealant on the front and back of the intake where the rubber strips usually go.

why would you not use new gaskets? its not like they are all that costly or hard to find. and no you cant just use RTV. i say you can not because its a bad idead, but im sure you could actualy do it and get it to work atleast for a short time. and 4onfloor is correct about it not being able to be torqued down properly. your dealing with angles and the gaskets take up space between the heads and intake. and yes like 4onfloor also said, DO NOT use the rubber strips on the front and back. just run a thick bead of RTV. those ruber strips are known for getting squished out or at the least caucing vacume leaks. as long as you have enough RTV here, you might want to dry fit everything beforehand and look to see how big the gap is and then you could try it without your gaskets and see what we are talking about because your bolt holes probably wont lign up.
