don't think i will be able to finish my car... i just don't have the money for it, its gonna take like 7k min. to get it done right, and at 16 i just can't do it, i just can't.
it just hit me that i can't do this, theres so way, i just can't afford it. god, this is just like everything else in the world, you get so close to something before it gets riped away, and i'm just about sick of it. i spent the last couple of years of my life just living for my car, and no i know that i can't have it. even if i do finish her i will never beable to afford the insurance/gas.. god i'm so sick of this... if i have to sell her (which i dunno what i'll do) i'll have to get a 5.0 i guess... man.. god damnit.. i don't know what to do.

i agree. Tacoma man you do realise you're posting in a mustang forum??? i mean damn thats pretty cold :p not to mention totally unnecessary and irrelevant to the topic.
Rerun, work for it and keep the 67 mustang, that thing is a thing of beauty when fully restored. Just coz you don't have the cash for it now then store it if you can and buy something cheaper for the time being. 16 is sooooo young, damn if i had a 67 mustang in any condition when i was 16 i'd be the happiest man out there even if i had to take the bus to work for a few years because i know that in the end when its all done and i finally build it, it will be the sweetest thing out there. This may sound mean :p but, the sacrifices you make now will only make you love your car and appreciate more in future when you do finally get it done :p trust me on this :p ask your parents if they'll let you store it with em and buy another car for now as i suggested.... good luck bro.

oh yeah baby, now thats the spirit :D you know what you should do, you should go and get yourself a poster of a 1967 mustang and hang it on your wall as a reminder of what the possibilities are for your car. Thats way you'll always just look at the poster whenever you're feeling down and you'll realise why its worth stickin to :D

Hang in there man, I've had those days too. I'm 19 now, got my '69 coupe when I was 17. Right when I got my car, it seemed to run a little rough, so I pulled the heads.. the piston walls were really scuffed.. needless to say, I spent all my money rebuilding the engine, then I spent all the money I made on my summer job on having my transmission rebuilt(the first day I had my mustang running decently again after I rebuilt the motor the transmission let go.. that was a bad day.) After installin the new tranny, I tried to start it - the wiring somehow shorted and the starter wouldn't stop cranking. At first I thought it was a faulty starter, so I replaced that.. didnt fix it... So the only other thing it could be was the wiring. Now, I'm just completing rewiring the entire car(every single wire.).. Then I get to build a new dash and install my new guages... Then I get to start it! The car has never been running for more than a week straight. I bought the car August 14th 2002. I have gone broke too many times to count. Oh and I just figured out a week ago that my rear differential is completely shot and causes bad vibrations at speeds over 30mph, so I have to get a new diff. I'm just getting a spool at this point, I cant afford any kind of Limited Slip(wouldnt get one anyways though) and a locker is too annoying around the corners. I'd rather have chirping tires. So yeah man... Its a long very hard road, but I love it. I could never sell my car... I have too many projects lined up for it!
