Well the program that they show in the movie is a fake attempt at a real program. I myself run a tuning program called WINTEC2 that ships with electromotive's TECII engine managment system.

Yeah, i've seen a program like that on a Supra... they were doing something with the engine and tweaking it to perform better... but i don't think you'll be doing that while racing on a quartermile...

what the program was doing was basically arming his nos, but it would be boring if he just flipped a switch... so they made it all technical... and yeah, it's possible to get a sensor to get info that would inform you of danger to the manifold, but i have never seen nitrous blow a manifold off. it would burn up your pistons first...
i have never heard of nitrous melting the welds on an intake, mainly b/c your motor is fried prior to that happening...

Yeh, Hollywood had to spice it up somemore somehow by making it look like he could gauge the stage levels of the NOS setup. You actually can blow the welds on the intake manifold by using to high of a shot of NOS at once. That part is possible. :smoker2:

I'm glad to see you guys arn't that big of critics...You point out flaws, etc in the movies, but its not as bad as alot of other subjects. Hollywood needs to make the movies enjoyable to everyone, and pleasing to the eye. No matter what hte movie is about there will be people saying "thats compeltely bogus" but they usually are alot meaner about it that you :)
