Another question for you,
What kind of turbo is a tco6?? Is it a decent upgrade for an rb20det??
Any info you could give me would be appreciated!

a tc06? whats that? i kknow a td06 would be good!! haha but theres alot of work involved in fitting a td06 to an rb20det... not to mention all the other things youd need... (injectors, fuel pump, blah blah blah)

So what kind of turbo would be best to put onto an RB20DET? If you want to increase the boost to something like 1.2 bar, will you need a turbo with a steel wheel - like one from a VG30 - or will a larger turbo like one off an R34 GT-T be OK? I've also heard that it doesn't really matter what kind of turbo you have as long as your intercooler is good and working well. Any ideas?

Personally... if your not wanting to run much over 18-20psi... then y do you want a bigger turbo? thats just going to increase your lag!! Y dont you get your std turbo high flowed and put bigger compressor wheels on it :) A FUCK load cheaper too!!

Does anyone out there know what kind of turbo is in a 1992 R32 GTS-t? Garret T25 or T28? And if I were to high flow it etc., how much would I be looking at in $AUS. If I want a good compromise between little lag and good enough boost i.e. 16-18psi would a turbo from an S15 be good as it is roller bearing etc.

If you wer to get it high flowed it would probably cost you 800-900... depending on how much you bore it out... and how much bigger wheels you go to...

I know Autech does them but not sure on the price. I would guess on about a $1,000 NZ

The R32 GTR's came out with the small version of the T28's they are just a tad smaller than the GTiR T28 turbo. The T25's came out on the R34.

The best place I know of is a place called Autech Diesel & Turbo... they are on Wairau rd sort of accross from the BP (if you know where im talking about). They quoted me about $800 for something similar to a t4 conversion... so yeah

the GTS-T/4 GTS25-T has a nissan copy of a T3 not a TB25/8

the GT-R's have a TB25/8
T25 turbine wheel and a T28 compressor wheel

yes they are smaller than the GTiR turbos only just the GTiR turbo i mesured today was 46.5mm the standed GTS-T turbo is only something
like 45mm ( dont check just chuck the cores out & keep the hsgs )
