Does anyone know if a buick grand national turbo will work on a '99 camaro 3.8l v-6?? i believe that the grand nationals are 3.8l v-6's too but i didnt know if it would work. If not does anyone know what other cars parts could fit on the v-6?

You might be able to adapt a grand national turbo onto your car but it might be a pain getting everything to fit in there nicely. What about looking at the supercharger from a GTP??? I think you basically have the same engine. I would think that it would be a much easier upgrade as opposed to the GN turbo.

better plan on building the motor up first,
you'll blow gaskets and rings!

You can;t use the supercharger from the GTP unless you do alot of work and after you do that i don't think it would work. The engine on teh GTP is transverse meaning the SC intake would be under the windshield. If your curious, i posted this thread eariler.

this again? ok, hypsi has said and i have quoted many times before that the GTP charger will not work on any other engine than the GTP engine. the turbo idea is decent but i dont think its all that practical cause it would have to be completely one-offed and would be a lot of work. if you want a forced induction v-6 go get a GN or a GTP. if you just want the challenge, then by all means go for it. otherwise, i think its way too inpractical to think about...

You could always look into the turbo trans am. It was pretty much the same as the grand national but had different heads because the GN heads were too wide to fit into an fbody.
