I would keep the airbags. Who knows, it might save you one day.
There are 3 populer quality springs for Grand AM.
Eibach - least drop, but gives you level look.
Intrax and H&R - they give you raked look. HR is more raked.

If you lower get good performance anti sway bars or you may bust the mounts and my buddies like to put diamond plate skid plates on lowends and low frame parts for protection against grinding and makes awesome sparks. Remember to get the wheels alighned properly or your gonna ruin tires fast. If I had the CasH id give it a go but we have severely crappy roads here. Anti sway bar upgrades make a huge difference in handling tight turns or multiple power turns I love the difference , out of everything i have done it was the most noticeable change at once modification however it seems hard on the rack steering. My rack steering is 1 1/2 years old and its crap already ,,,,, at times. sorry so long

just a question, if you lower with say eibachs would we need camber kits or does our suspension adjust for the change?

Dont just get springs , youll bust your car if your any at all agressive driver. Talk to a suspension shop for details on why this mod is bigger money = better safer ride as well as sexy low looks. just my 2 cents.
