me and my budies are driving to go play ball, and i wanted to show my friend how fast i was, because he has this friend with a stock srt-4 who thinks he can beat me :grinno: anyway i give it some punch and heads fly back and then "POP" and the turbo's spike up and engine died
oh sh!t, now i'm thinking turbo's blew up or something bad from the sound i heard, so i coasted the thing back home an popped the hood.
looked at the turbo's they seemed fine but who knows whats goin on inside,. i look around look around and i spot it, my hose had come loose from the intake manifold. i wipe the sweat of my head and put it back on tighten it as tight as possible and job was done.

Something similar to myself, well sorta. A couple of years ago I built a Toyota MR2 and the day I got it running I had to take a good long drive, so I got a few friends together and we took off. Well we exited off the freeway almost in the middle of nowhere to stretch our legs, I got back into my car and we took off back up the on ramp, first gear up to 5000/6000 rpms, second gear about the same, third gear, getting great power and speed, BANG! loss of all power, car put-puts, I pull over immediately, pop the hatch (mid-engine car), getting ready to get mad, peer into the bay and come to find two spark plug wires popped out, scratched my head plugged them back in and took off, never happened again, but sure did scared the crap out of me. :lol2:

Gasket as in rubber insert that lines the inside of your plastic stock Y-pipe, its right underneath and is where you tighten down your hose clamp on.

This happen to me a so many times, and cause a battery arc due to the stock Y-pipe comeing off and pushing my hard clutch line into my posi-terminal connecting. Fried a lot of stuff, including my stock MAS....that sucked... lol. But I now have a MAFT kit version 2.0... so hey? whos complaining. And i got a DN Y-pipe....best mod as far as for safety and relilbility I have done so far, has never blown off. o yea, my fucking battery is now in my trunk, I dont want to take anymore chances, ;-)

The "POP" happened to me, when I was showing off, shifting from 1st to 2nd, but mine was a vacuum hose, I thought I screwed up big time.
