I am wondering if anyone knows of an air intake system that is designed to fit the 5.3L engine in the Trailblazers. I have found only one. http://www.sporttruckdirect.com/True_Flow.html
I am a little apprehensive to buy it, not being familiar with the company. Has anyone tried it out? Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

I can let you know in a week or so.

I have one on order as well as a Granatelli mass flow air sensor.

Today I just installed the Granatelli Predator Power programmer & a K&N drop in air filter (until the True FLow one get's here) & I tell you what....
it is running great! Definately notice an improvement over stock. Nothing neck snapping....he-he, yet! But a improvement non-the-less.
Of course now I am supposed to be running premium for having the programmer hooked up to it, but hey....that's the breaks. One thing about the programmer, they say that they will raise the speed limiter....NO. Well, only 3 mph faster & that's it. Kind of a dissappopintment, but hey....the vehicle will never be a hot rod no matter what I do to it. But a little extra is always a plus.

I did a search on the true-flow & from what I have read:

It is a foam filter that acts just like the K&N one. However, the K&N is supposed to work a little better when both are brand new & clean. But when the filter starts getting a little dirty, the True Flow works much better. The Truw Flow even filters out more of the smaller dirt than the K&N.

Send me an e-mail & I will let you know as soon as it gets here.

Very cool. I am anxious to see how you like it. For a lack of alternatives, I am going to order a True-Flow system in the next few weeks. Where did you get your Granatelli programmer? Let's hope the gas prices start coming down again. Well, let me know when you get it put in.

The True Flow & the Mass Flow air sensor, I went to

www.performancecombos.com

The Power Programmer, I received it from: www.summitracing.com

The programmer was a whopping $414. I works well, though YOU CANNOT up your maximum speed. It will if you have a ECM whatever that is, but it will only give you a lousy 5mph more & that's it. So instead of it doing 98mph, you can do 103mph....yawn!

I forget what the other 2 cost me....something like $370 shipped.

Well, the True FLow intake showed up yesterday, the Mass Flow air sensor....didn't yet

It was rather easy to install....took me the mechanically challenged guy about 40 minutes.

Everything went very well & it made a BIG difference. Sound wise is awesome & I really noticed a added kick in the throttle response & the extra go-go power. It gave it a deaper snarl to the tone which kicks in around 2500 until around 4500 & then the sound tapers off from there.

I would rec. it to anyone. BUT, I have only had it on there for 1 day! Not enough testing for any real facts.
