It could be the front radius arm bushes or the upper arm bushes.

The uneven wear on MY front tyres (the inside edge of the tyres wore down to the belts, while the outside edge was mint) was caused by bung radius rod bushes in the front suspension. I think they are the most common ones to crap out.

It turned out that the upper (control?) arm bushes were also fudged.

Once they were all replaced the car felt a heap better around corners ... but now my shocks are dying.

Hard braking will take out the radius ones quickly and hard general driving takes care of the uppers.

The WOF places will check both as they know about them. Also your car will become unsafe to drive even mildly hard. If any are gone get them done asap.

some places don't bother!!

best to make sure they check them!!

Another option is getting your exisiting arms rebushed. Got my uppers done plus alignement for under $300. Nissan would appear to be the cheapest for new replacement arms ($150+gst each approx).
I'll get the radius arms done as soon as finances allow just to be on the safe side.
PS: Testing Station passed both my upper arms without comment at last wof, after travelling only 1500kms till next test, local garage found both had excess movement, lh side almost at failure point! VTNZ not always on tha ball.

Unless they put the car up on a hoist and shake s**t out of the front end, or look at them REAL close, they probably won't find anything wrong. Of course, if there is nothing left of the bush they might notice. :D

Best to have them checked out by a pro if your really worried.
