Help guys!!!

So my firend laughed at a WRX today... that pissed me off... I said whatever that kicks ass... AWD plus a turbo with about 227 hp... He said what ever. "Jasons, his friend" eclipse would kill that... I asked what year... Its an 97' GSX.... I said no... Then he preceded to tell me off and say the GSX would kill it... I find it funny that GSX's dont even make supercars car list. The WRX does it 5 times.... If anyone has info on stock or modified Eclipses post it up so I can rip him a new one... If Im wrong let me know also. The 2001 WRX STi does 0-60 in 4.5.... ANd the Subaru AWD system kicks anything that is made by Mitsubishi... I like the Eclipse but its not as good... Tell me what you think... PLease note Im comparing Jasons car to a 2001 WRX... I just need some stats on a stock 97' GSX... Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, We have a ton of WRX and Mitsubishi Galant VR4 and
EVO's here. I have my own workshop and I have seen more WRX with blown gearbox's than Mitzi. My friend works for a gearbox workshop and he gets up to 4 WRX gearbox's to fix each week and he hasan't seen a week go by without at least two of them for a very long time.
The first thing they do to a rally works WRX is throw the gearbox away and put the good one in it so the WRX you buy of the showroom is nothing like the rally ones.

stock for stock the WRX would win.

2G GSX = 210hp
2002 WRX = 227hp

Thats enough of a difference in power. Now, if we are talking a modded GSX then its different. I drive a 98 GSX but I am no longer stock (about 260hp) so it would not be a fair race with a new WRX that is still bone stock. For sure the new WRX's are no slouch...

if your friend Jason's GSX is modded it's quite possible that it could beat a WRX (stock)

WRX does 0-60mph in i think just under 6 seconds and a GSX does it in just over 6 seconds
