Cavy Engine?

blight

I am thinking of buying a 95+ cavy (2dr.). I want to throw a 6 in it though. What is the biggest 6 that'll drop? Price?
----------
What is the best exhaust I can run on that year range of cavy? Price?
----------
Is there a best year in that range of cavy? Why?
----------
With just that what would I be running in the 1/4?
----------
Any bodykit suggestions?
----------
Any other suggestions?
----------

Thanks for anyone who can provide any real info on this car.

That's going to be too slow. I'm used to driving a 72' nova with a caddy 500. That's a 2700lb car with 500hp/550 torque. So why do that?

So does anyone have any info on the questions?

No way in all the dimensions of anything is a z24 even close to what my nova does. Now does anyone have any real info on the questions?

Also I have people just saying the z24 is cool great fine, but why?

Well dropping a v6 in a 95+ gonna be some work but if ya wanna do it try to find a v6 3.1l with a turbo

a 3.4 or a 3.8 may fit but i am not sure

as for the best year i dont think there really is a "best" year because lost of people like the look of the 95+ but i like the first gen and second gen cars myself

TO ONE LOW CAV:
First of all the caddy 500 is a 500ci engine that came from the eldorados of the late 60's and 70's. It had the same block as the 472 (heard of that one?) They don't make that motor any more. I had to rebuild mine. I have mine hooked up to a turbo 350. It has so much power ONLY because its size plus I've got a lightning series carb on it. It is extremely close to a 502 (crate engine). So think in that range of power. Also remember that 454s as a non-rebuilt engine should have about 410 hp or so. So think of it that way. From now on you may know that I am not an idiot. It is that I am not very knowledgeable about these compact cars.

TO twiztid420:
Thanks I'll check that out. Can anyone else post some good info like twiztid420 here? It seems that two of you only want to criticize.

TO Jayson:
I did not mean it as a "smart ass" remark. I was just making a point that a small engine is not going to compare to a larger engine. I apologize if you took it that way.

TO J_Swigz:
Thanks I appreciate you feedback to Jayson.

If a small engine does not compare to a "big" engine, then what is the differnce to you between getting a 6 or a 4?, if it because you what to be known as the guy to slam a 6 into the 95+ platform that's great, you will probaly have a lot of modifing to do from engine mounts to god knows what, but if you what power from a small engine get a 2.4l quad four, even slight engine mods respond very well with this engine

Well what are you looking at doing to make it quick?

Also I am looking at a small car that'll do at least 13s and will be a good daily car. I know the ones previous to 95 take 6s. Albeit they don't look all that great (personal opinion) even with a body kit which I can't find many of. I'm not a fan of toyota or honda for having a quick car so I'm looking at cavys.

well, if your looking to go quick, don't waste your money putting in a 6, just use the extra money you'll save and put it in a 2.4L, i have a buddy with a 94 sunbird with the 3.1L i think, and he's done pretty much the same mods to his engine that i've done to mine and i kick his ass everytime
