Time & Size Correlation

Do you think the smaller something is, the faster time goes for them?
For example, a germ could go through one hundred years germ time while we go through a hundred seconds our time? This could go way down to the molecular level. I was thinking about this while trying to justify our universe being the nucleus of another atom..

time is relative, but not in that way. the only reason "time" exists is because humans wanted to establish control over their world, and assigning periods of "time" to the space between sun up and sun down was just another way to do that.
time doesnt "pass" for anything but humanity

I thought about that too, but think under the pretense of the universe being an atom. Time exists in that each time the sun goes around is an electron rotating around whatever planet they are on.

I get what you mean, I think......
I have wondered too, if there are aliens somewhere in the universe who perceive things to be very different than we do. One could have intellegent aliens whose metabolic process and hence, their thoughts are so slow, it takes them weeks of our time just to decide on what to have for lunch.

If you look back I started a thread on "What is Time". 2 things... even though others, say Dogs, have a shorter lifespan relative to us, puberty in a year, death in about 10, they still exist in the same temporal state that we do... a minuet is a minuet for the same as us... if it wasn't, then a Dog walking at 4mph would appear to us as a 28mph sprint (7*4, 7 dog years = 1 human year). Also, time is not localized to just humans... time is change, since everything changes, everything experiences time!!!

I get what you mean.. but I think 4mph (dog time, theoretically) would be like running to them. 1/2 mph would be a steady walk.

time and speed is the same for everything, we just keep track of time on a clock and keep track of speeds on charts with different calculations... but time would go even if we didn't have clocks or anything like that

Thoughts...
"If time for a germ goes faster than time for me, that must mean my germs are getting really old, really fast. Maybe that's the reason for halitosis and flatulence. Hmmm.... "
"If my watch is slow, and I go by it to the exclusion of any other time reference, will I become slow? Even better, if my watch is fast, can I get off work early?"
All I know is, I like it when my girlfriend says, "it's time for some size"...

Well I figured someone would bring up Einstein's Theory of Relativity by now, but I guess not. According to him, time isn't a concept simply made up by man to keep track of different events...it's a "real" concept. Time can even be slowed or even stopped, theoretically.

Good philisophical question. If am not interested, does that mean I should not be involved. Now think about that for a second. I mean I'm not interested in my job right now but is in my best interest to stay involved.
It's so good to hear me talk:)

the better question is, if your not interested, why did you involve yourself?
