Something like $100-200. You can do it yourself too :)

Sears sells a manual/portable spring compressor for like $40. I have one in my garage.

You can rent the tools you need from Autozone. And KYB shocks are fair in quality.

thanks for the link but i have no experience in this field, so im not very confident in installing them myself. is it that easy that someone like me could do it? or should i leave it ti the pro's?

it doesnt seem that hard. i mean, from what i think, just having the right tools and time, you would be able to do it. but then again, if you are going to get charged just an extra $100-$200 like CivicSi said, i would say go for it if you dont feel comfortable doing it yourself. like i mentioned b4.....im going to risk it and do it myself. the guy in that site has written the step by step pretty simple to understand plus the pics he adds to each step is very helpful. good luck and hope it goes well for you.

hooooooooold up. did u say the shop is charging you $280 for KYB shocks and there not the AGX's??? so then most likely there the GR-2's. thats waaaaaaaaaaaay too much. you can get those shocks on ebay for $180. and you shouldnt go with the KYB GR-2's if your going to lower your car. there not meant for cars that are lowered. there just stock replacements. Get the KYB AGX's, Tokico Illumina, KONI reds or yellows, or some bilstein shocks. if your really pressed for cash and your not loweing your car more than 1.5" then u can get the Tokico Blues. they run about $240 brand new on ebay. You should look on ebay for parts for your car. they have some really good deals.

If you dont feel confident install n your springs yourself then do it at a shop. but installing them is really easy. it's so simple.

im only using neuspeed sport springs on my gr2's. it's not that low of a drop. i did do some research before buying them and they aren't bad.

well if u really want the GR-2's go get em, but u shouldnt pay anything over $200 for them. if u were go n to pay so much ($280), then u should just buy the AGX's for the same price. i personally wouldnt go with the GR-2's. you can get the tokico Blues for just over $230 which are better than the GR-2's

Yeah, if you want to buy shocks, get them from tirerack (http://www.tirerack.com). They seem to have about the best prices and their service is great. Better than any Web retailer I've ever dealt with.
