car "bogs"

my car "bogs" when in gear and slowin down. i tried to do some research but nothing. it also smokes black after 4-4500 RPM's and smells like gas while cruseing.if any1 got a link or know something about it please post.appreciate...

check the leaking headgasket thread to be sure but i think i saw somebody saw that black smoke usually means your turbo's dying

its the 1g BOV. i think its fine.
as far as the head gasket i just put a 6 bolt with all new gaskets and oil seals.the only thing that i did not change was the valve oil seals(or whatever they call them).after doeing all that i realise that my stock turbo was fu..ed up ,so i boaght a newer one (t-25) from e-bay for 160$. the owner sad it had around 395** miles, around 40k. there was minimal shaft play ,very small, so i hope thats not the problem.
i think its the timming thoug, cuz the car accelarate kind of slow,retard. also could it be a leak?

do u have oversize injectors? what about any other mods you've done and have you installed the stuff youself or at a shop. give us a mod list. thanxs

oh and the valve seals could cause it to smoke but usually only when you first start it cuz oil leaks down into the cylinders through the bad valve seals

right(about the seals) and it would smoke kind of white if its seals (i think).
for mods i dont realy have anything. it appear thoug ,that the car has been mild modified before i got it. the side panel on the window(where u usually put your extra gages is missing, a hole bunch of wires are just shuved underneat the mat(under my feet and under the clutch).some wires attached to the O2 cable before the ECU(i guess its fuel/air ratio gage. also there is a little stand(braket) bolted under the wheel space for turbo timer or AFC maybe. under the hood the sugnificent differences were k/n filter, 1G BOV, 3" cat back greddy, i took the ballance shaft out,put a lightweight 6 bolt flywheel( ACT about 12 pounds,not alluminum) and thats about it.
i was sure 'til the other day that i got a bigger ingectors but ,no, they are the stock ones(at least it sad 450 on the side of them)
i do everything myself (first i like messin with my "baby" ,than i dont have money for servise).
after the swap the CEL run away(after fixin the coolant temperature sensor) and the only thing i havent done is set the timming properly (with a light gun or so) .the reason i dont do is cuz i'm not sure how to grownd the fuse u are supposed to grownd. so what i'm doeing now is twisting the CAS and driving around to see how it goes.

also my rear bumper(above the exsaust) is durty black (my car is black too lol) and there is like an oil spots.i can make a pic, but i only have the phone camera (duno if its goin to appear on it)...

t/e/l have a decelaration circuit built in let me try and explain what it does and then you can tell whether its what your car does. i know that 1g's have this maybe 2gs dont so you dont realize that this is normal
when the ecu senses that the rpms are over 1200 and the throttle is completly closed it decides that you're trying to decelarate and cuts the spark to make the engine slow down faster. this explains the bogging.
as for the black smoke and gas smell, i haven't a clue. post a thread with "black smoke above 4500rpm and gas smell while cruising" as the subject and somebody should be able to help. my only recommendation would be to set the timing then screw with it.
and about the wires hanging out diff places. congratulations when you go to mod it you'll have wires there already lol jk you should prob try and take out most of the extra wires or at least insulate the ends good so they dont short to the frame

i just want to add that i have no problems with your spelling if you ask me it like writing shorthand...plus i can't spell either but i can design and build just about anything for a car, home or boat...
