Years to get for an M#?

I am Turnin 18 on May 26 and looking for a car. Got It down to a Gtp or M3.
Want to get an M3, but I am not sure what year to get. Not Brand new because I got a budget.
So if anyone can get back to me on good years and specs I'd appreciate that.

If you are looking to get an M3 I would suggest the 95 obd1 or the 96-99 obd2. the upgrades for both are basically the same somewhat. the 95's are a lot cheaper to get nowadays 96-99 are around the same price range but pretty high depending on mileage or what not. Basically it is up to you what year you want to get. With me I went with a 95 basically personal preference for the year!

a lot of people are taking the 3.2 liter motors and changing over to obd1 for significant gains in power.

my friend got a 95 it's hott as shit and talk about bad ass hes got 400hp get a 95 they look better too
