My friend is the LUCKIES guy in the world!

My friend was looking to buy a Type R! So about 5 days ago we were driving around and we saw one in a driveway (in a nice neighborhood) and it had the FOR SALE sign...so right away we got out of the car went to check it out and this old man came out and said "you boys like this car" and we started talking. The man said it was his son's and his son just bought a Escalade :screwy: ...the guy then said that his son left the car to him...he could do anything he wants to with it, so the guy is selling it for 6K and it only has 38K on it :screwy: :iceslolan :banghead: ...me and my friend stood stunned for a minuted and we didn't even try to negotiate :banghead: ...we came back the next day did all the paper work and what not and drove away with it. The car is bone stock, its a 2000 Type R with 38K on it. I still can't believe it....that lucky bastard!!!! :banghead:

I'll try to get pictures up and YES it is a Type R...a real TYPE R. like i said its a 2000 so its NEW...interior clean, exterior beautiful (its yellow) and the engine bay...is clean as hell. Who the hell cares! It's money and In my opinion they look like crap. I like the 2nd Gens. You could make a 2nd Gen twice as quick for half the money and still have cash to spare. A type R is not that great. Its just another integra.

That is just your opinion. you may like the gen 2 better, that is ok. He may like the gen 3, 3.5 better. Also having a type R isn't about having the faster car, it about having a bad ass rare car that not alot of people have. For some people like myself I perfer auto-x and it isn't about whose car is the fastest iin a straight line. The type R is world renound for being one of the best if not the best auto X car out there. It has won the world championship something like 5 years straight. How many gen 2 tegs have you seen do that? To say that the type R is just another integra is a pretty gross statment.

I would rather have a type R, any day of the week. cool, you have a gen 2 integra, even with 5k in mods, the car still wont have half the class of a type R, and will still be a.....gen 2! It may be obvious in your mind because you LIKE the look of the gen 2, personally I like the gen3, 3.5 10 times better than gen 2, as far as looks go. Don't get me wrong the gen 2 still looks great, and I am not meaning to bad mouth it, but the gen 3,3.5 is way classier looking. and I am sure this guy likes the gen 3,3.5 better too, or he would have bought a gen 2. You are intitled to have your opinion, but don't get all fussy because this guy would rather have a type R.

Only oldteg is obsessed with 2nd gen integra....I personally choose type r over 2nd gen integra anyday....while you could make them faster than type r's you still won't have the class of type r that only type r offers...you could do whatever you want to a 2nd gen integra but at the end it would still be a 2nd gen integra....

Im not obsessed with any integra. I actually am not that big of a fan of any of them. Im obsessed with money.

The fact of the matter is, the guy who bought the type R, WANTED ONE! So it makes no sence for him to sell it. And really if all you are going for is speed, then why the hell are you buying imports for. If you are on a budget and want a car that is a second faster, or even 2-3 seconds faster you could get a domestic v8, like a old 5.0,and dump some money into that and it will be doing 10's in no time. The reason most people buy imports is becasue they are moderatly fast (but can be made really fast), and look good, but if you are stricktly going for speed and no class why not just get an old v8 like a 5.0. I mean shit, it does'nt take much work on a v8 to make it hella fast. (not saying that all v8's don't have class, my favorite cars are 69 ss chevelle's, and 67-69 camaros, they are sweet)

Wow, the ignorance in that statement. Who cares, the owner does, he wanted the car. You opinion doesnt matter, 2nd gens are inferior to 3rd gens in every way. And twice as fast for 1/2 as much? Lets see, so you can make a 16.9 second car a 8.5 second car for 1/2 the price of a Gen 3?

Saying the Type-R is just another Integra is like saying the EVO 8 MR is just another Lancer. Its in a totally different class of cars. No one said "classy" they said "class" like racing class.

You can make any car faster than any other car with the right amount of money, you can make your Gen 2 run the same time as a Z06. Does that mean you car is as good as a Z06, NO! The Z06 is a real sports car, thats RWD, and still has its full interior, and is daily drivable.

im with oldteg. G2's rule. yes the g2 and z06 are different class of cars but the g2 and g3 are the same. they are the same damn car. an integra. options and power and such may be different same with looks. it all depends on your personality. one may say ooh i want a hype-r cuz its a hype-r but y not just get a faster g2 that imho looks better unless you do the jdm front end conversion. and if the guy would rather have the type-r thats fine for him.

it just seems to me i would have a beat up car that can fly by the type-r on drack or road track. then have something that is a type-r. im really close to getting this 93 civic hatch with a c5 in it. id rather have that than the car he just got. y... cuz its faster. may not look the best but its certainly faster.

Thats true...he was looking for about a month to find a Type R with a good deal! He got extremely lucky and got one for a very low price. I dont think that he will sell it, he'll just spend more money on it!
