My speedometer has been acting funny and I was told by a friend that the speedometer cable probably needs to be replaced. I can't figure out where the speedometer cable is though. Somebody please help me. Thanks.

I once had trouble with my speedomoter, but it wouldn't even move at all. Only because I had taken off my positive *or was it the negative?* and didn't put it back on tight enough onto my car battery. I just can't remember which one it was...that was years ago! Have you taken off your positive or negative wires from your battery for some reason? Make sure both cables are tight when connected to the battery. I don't know where the actual spedomoter cable is, sorry I'm not much help. I just thought you'd try the battery? :uhoh:

I don't know if you speedometer cable is in the same spot as mine, but on my car, if you are standing on the front passenger side of the car, under the hood, next to the firewall, you should see a coaxiale cable, that runs to the engine. it is running into your vehicle speed sensor and all you have to do is unscrew it from the sensor. where it runs to in the car i have no idea. hope this helps.
