gauge bezel

how in the hell do i get the gauge bezel out so i can paint it, its covered in plexi and i dont wanna crack it but i cant get it off

i don't know what year your car is but on my 04 you have to take the dash off (like you want to get at the head unit), then the plastic piece around your gauge and stereo, then there are two screws on each side of the gauges take them out and the clear lastic piece is connected to the bezel, the clear plastic piece should slip off of the bezel then.
