Whats up guys/girls been readin this forum for a few days and it looks pretty good....
Anyways right now I got an A4 but Ive been thinkin bout sellin it and gettin a del sol...Basically what I want to do is get a 95+ dohc vtec and And a jackson racing supercharger kit at the same time
What Im askin is there anything else I should consider while looking for a del sol? (Im talkin bout performance and dependabilty wise) .... Also it says that the jackson racing supercharger will only fit the si models which is not dohc v-tec is it?.....or is there a better setup youd recomend
Also with a budget of about $10K is this realistic considering a supercharger or turbo kit is about $2500-3000?
Thanks guys

in the drop down there is an option for a DOHC supercharger, I was pretty sure jackson made one, but I had to look. I think you should be able to sell the A4 and buy the Vtec model and supercharger. Depending on the year/condition of the A4. Just look for the sol in the winter, I think anyone on here will tell you that

IMHO I would ditch the JRSC and go with a turbo. The turbo will make more power than the JRSC. And for about the same amount of money too. :2cents:

Yeah I know what yah mean about the turbo but I have a turbo car right now and turbo lag is the bane of its existence Im lookin to avoid that. I know there are probly some turbo combos that have minimal lag also Im concerned about dependabilty with a turbo with the heat and everything...? what setup would you recomend?
thanks solfan...
Are del sols considered summer cars?... how are they in snow?
Do you think that I could find a decent del sol for $6-7k?

i'd go turbo as well, superchargers aren't the best motors for 4 cylinders cuz it takes power to make power with those. as for the turbo you can get really nice ball bearing turbos now that basically eliminate lag. quite amazing! And yes you can find a decent sol for 6k or less. Good luck with it!

why dont you upgrade your turbo, front mount I/C and get a delagate and a innovative bov..and tune the A4 ? Dont get me wrong aint nothin wrong with some sol ! but you already drive a car that you can work with and its an Audi ..little higher up than a honda ... Ive seen some A4's around here that can almost hang with my sol, and ive got $$$$$$$$$$$ under my hood. Just wondering why thats all.... I wouldnt go Jackson tho, save the money and go Vortech, youll be waaay happier in the end, even tho its almost double the price

I guess I just really want a sleeper and an audi A4 is deffinately not a sleeper everyone thinks its fast...which it is as long as you dont have to go from a standing start
theres nothing really wrong with my A4 besides what I just mentioned I love this car to death and I actually might keep it and get another project when I have the money Id put a pic up of my A4 but I cant figure out how in this forum :icon16:
BTW whats a delegate

btw, you can probably find an older DOHC for round 7k, i bought my 97 si for 6800 and it only had 70k miles on it.

jackson doesn't make a kit for the del sol and the only thing that i found that will work is the 99 and up kit for the dohc vtec
