LEDs

Ok so i was probing around and I dismantled my entire cluster. I mean down to like a few pieces. the lamps that light up the cluster at night.. are these LEDs? Anyone know what I'm talking about? If they are LEDs, what size are they? these are attached to the circuitboard of the cluster.
