greetings ppls, today I got bored and decided to install the IROC/Z28 grill that I had purchased on ebay a few months back. Nothing special, but I took some before and after pictures with my cell phone to post, basically just wanted to put up more pics of my car so, here it is...
here's the car on ramps with the original RS grill in place with my "Camaro" licence plate and "Platinum" chain link license plate frame, and yes, I realize that my front end needs some body work, but that'll come later.

here is a photo of the grill removed, there was some strange green slimey crap under that thing.

here is a photo with the new grill installed, it was a fairly easy task that only required a 1/4" ratchet with metric sockets, and a ratchet screw-driver with torx shaped bits.

now I have no use for my "Camaro" license plate since the grill has the same thing, maybe i'll mold it into the dash pad somehow for a custom type look.
last but not least, a final photo after a nice bath, polishing, and waxing.

Oh yea, the reason I did this was to open up the air flow that will go into the TPI airbox that I purchased on ebay, of course, and will connect to my stock round air cleaner setup, how I will fabricate this is still in the works, but I'll show it when I do it.

Those do look sweet covering your front end, but then you will realize that they are not so sweet. The hold moisture under them and cause the paint to chip by flapping in the wind under harsh conditions, like highways, so please stay away from them, my camaro came with one. I finally got the balls to take it off to look at the damage and luckily there wasn't much, just on the tips of the curves on the hood is there rust.

the paint off my hood.

yea mine is black.
I don't know if that damage was caused by the bra or not, cuz it was all there when i bought the car back in 97, the damage and the bra. my hood however, is perfect. there are other spots on the car like there is up front and my father said it's most likely from automatic car washes
