Most respected Artist?

Who do you respect the most as and Artist? Look up to? Admire?

Who's work do you see that you are just amazed with. And the artist can be a "starving" artist here, or a profesional. Draw with pens or paint, or sculpt things.

------------------------------------
I admire Chip Foose. To me he is an amazing artist on paper and with metal. He can sketch drawings that look perfect in 5minutes, in color. And his metal/hot rod work is implicable.

I hope one day I may rise to his level, or possibly be an apprentice of such a great artist.

Well, i would say canay inspires me with his designs, aseans inspires me with his realistic drawings, even though i aint seen much of him lately. That's basically it.

lol that is awesome!!!! that is my favorite artist eva'!! i did a 3-d clay model of that drawing where the two hands are drawing eachother. it inspired me to do a drawing like that.

i like the way some of his drawings go beyond what is possible. i also like the way he uses patters in some of his "puzzle" drawings.

maybe ill post that pic i drew...

My dad. He wasn't perfect, but he always had a great style. I'll post some of his work sometime.

Wow what a question!!

For me it gets kinda tricky.

Number 1 is my wife:
http://www.caroleaharris.com

she not only inspires but she's always given me honest feedback on my projects and has helped me get a lot better.

Two is Chuck Jones:

I'm a huge Warner Brothers fan. I named my son after him. His character and emotion in line is unmatched RIP.

Then in no particular order:

George Trosley, Shawn Kerri, Delacroix, Honore Daumier, Gerge Seraut, Van Gogh, and My daughter.

From this forum: I can honestly say I have learned from almost eveyone. It may not always be in method, but in perspective, and spirit. You guys all inspire me to do more...that's why it's so cool here.

p.s. Thanks for the props castback! I appreciate it.

oh yeah...

On MC Escher....I have a set of his Kalidecycles. Paper you fold in these weird pattern with his work on them. They are supposed to be a three dimensional representation of his work. When I try them I get a headace. :)

Wut up Fellas,

I have been around and checking in, just not posting much.

Trying to get some of my s15 done. I am getting ready to start the head light tutorial. I apologize for being a slacker lately.

Been hanging out some in the modeling forum trying to get educated.

I have 3 skyline models I want to get done and use for a series of skyline art. That is probably five years out. :)

I ruined one of my R33 models so I took a step back and bought a revell kit and I am practicing on that.

I have to admit I have been wasting time, but I am getting back on focus and doing what I am suppose to do, like praying and reading the Bible and doing more art.

Ok, my inspiring artists are: Matti Kataja, J.D. Hillbery, Lemorris, Kartoonz, Thom Taylor, Paul Jackson, Michael Turner, Claudia Nice, and some others.

Thx so much guys for saying I inspire some of you, I appreciate that.

Take care

i'd have to say lee hammond, because she can draw so many different things with colored pencil. Other artists are m.c. escher and thom taylor.

On this forum, my most respected artists are asaenz, lemorris, canay and kartoonz
