Any of you ever heard of or know anyone thats tryed to put an electric fan on a small block 400 instead of the motor fan. I am wanting to hook up to electric fans on my 74 bird and get rid of my motor fan. I have heard this will increase horse power and cool the engine alot better. I am also using a ram air hood which helps cool the engine a little but dont know if 2 electric fans and ram air would cool the engine enough?

Remember a good water pump will help you out too Also some good engine oil will help cooling also. Plz dont call the pontiac 400 engine a small block or a big block it was a special engine it is the pontiac 400 bigger than a small block but a bit smaller than a true big block.
Another thing find a better forum becuz the guys in this forum have no clue what they are talking about it seems to me that these are a bunch of kids with 4th gen T/A's that can help you with putting in a air filter but have no clue how a supercharger works or what kind of cam wiil give you good low end torque Plz i advise you to search for a different forum. Carburetor is not a word in most of these guys vocabulary let alone knowing how to rebuild one.

yea you can put an electric fan on it, you just rig it up to a switch inside your car, you just have to remember to turn it on and off
