92 wagon battery problem

I just bought it from a "dealer". 24hrs after I bought it, it worked. But two days later, it had a problem:

The engine stopped after a few minutes after idle, and couldnt start it again. Gave it a jumper recharging, it started again, and died again when idle. ( I can run it after it was started)



Is there anything consuming the battery quickly or is the battery toast.

I am a navie, Thanks for you help.

A few things:
Check that the wires at the battery and alternator are tight.
When the engine is running, listen under the hood for a hissing sound which will indicate a vacuum leak.
You may have a bad ignition switch...

Can't think of anything else... Hmm... if you can't figure anything out see if you can get the car to a parts store that will cehck your battery and alternator for free.
