Too bad they are considering Canada as the build site, according to the article. That alone will steer me away from buying one, or anything built in Canada.

what????? dude, 1970 Chevelle was built in canada, id sure as shit still want one. chevy is a chevy, who cares where its built. dont get me wrong, im all for made in the USA, but im also all for Capitolism. thats life man, smart buisness practice. as far as im concerned its still a chevy, sold in america, boosting american economy. providing jobs for all the sales people, and technitions who work on them in america, even if the workers who build them are canadian. and i could be wrong, but i thought that one of the camaro plants was in canada before anyway.

Well, my Caprice is from Arlington, Texas, and I'm Canadian. Doesn't bother me a bit. Wait a minute... Have you ever seen King Of The Hill? Now that's just scary!
Oh yeah, back on topic.... I'm going to start saving my pennies for the Camaro's return. That is, if GM doesn't mess it up. LOL

Just dont ruin Camaro's image by taking the same road as the GTO. Take a Australian Monaro Stick a stick a 350hp LS1 and a 6 speed in it and call it a GTO. YOUR LOSING IT GM! I'd almost rather the Camaro stay dead then make a crappy one. But who knows maybe it might be good.

Uh, Civic's are built in Alliston, Ontario.
All 4th Gen F-Body's were built in Quebec (most of the parts were Mexican if it makes people feel better).
Ford and Chevy trucks are built in Oakville and Oshawa, Ontario. The Impallas are only made in Oshawa.
Chrysler's new Pacifica is built in Windsor, ON. The 300 and Magnum are built on Brampton, ON.
Toyota has a plant in Cambridge, ON. There are tons of cars built in Canada - specifically ONTARIO. 95% of the CAW is Ontario.

i would say that by that time the standard motor
in a 2008 z28 will be a LS2, like the new corvette.
also pontiac might have the trans am back
in production as well

well, first off, lets not start the debate about the "non american" holden GTO, its a bad ass ride no matter how you cut it. But probly in responce to guys who cant handle that, rest assured, (as is written in the article) the next GTO AND Camaro will be a new body style, called the Zeta body. so it wont be a holden anymore, it will be an all GM design, for better or for worse. but let me remind you, that at any chevy dealership in the USA, you wont find anything CLOSE to a holden monaro, short of a corvette. face it guys, chevy has no balls anymore. holden does, i think a good shot of auzzy performance in the arm of american GM was a great thing. who cares where its from, its V8, rear wheel drive, six speed, and fast, and we can buy it. i honestly dont see what there is to complain about. you wanna drive your "non auzzy" chevy impalla with the 3.4L V6 and auto slushbox, or if your lucky, a 3.8L V6 with a supercharger, still only making 253hp, with the same... auto slushbox, go right ahead, ill go stand in line for a red blooded V8 six speed high performance machine, i could care less that its made in australia.

Getting a little testy, aren't we?
Only 4th-gen F-body's were built in Canada. Mine was built in Ohio and all Camaros and Firebirds before 1993 came from Youngstown or Van Nuys...
Sorry, I delved into politics (the forbidden zone) and wished to express my disgust at Canada's recent positions in the fight against terrorism and specifically against American security interests. We shall keep future political opinions in the proper forum...
And, I'd never own a Civic!
