putt putt

when my car is idling, every couple of seconds the muffler putts, im thinking that it may be a bad cylinder-lower compression, or it may be the exhaust-some back pressure maybe?? any other possiblities???

Eh I think thats normal back pressure is it not? My eclipse does that its nothing to worry about. Hell my camaro used to do that to. Maybe check your idle raise it up abit that could help. But all cars do that.

i tried raisin the idle cuz it idles at like 500, but when i put the screwdriver in the screw head, on half of it broke off, so i need to get some vice grips or something on there, get it off, and get a new one...maybe ill work on that on sunday, cuz tomorrow im outta town, thanks tho
