check out that story and look at the pix of the car.
And to believe the car had just been serviced and they mechanic thought it would be fun to take it for a joy ride.

The driver was unconcious, but okay?
Dude, after doing something like that, I think it would be at best to have just died cause the owner is going to kill him anyway :disappoin

damn.. see thats what scares me if I ever take my car to get it painted or worked on. I've seen numerious story's or even heard of people beating on the car.
I lived down south in Michigan and some dude drove my car with the 3.4 in it "wow that thing goes like a vette" not sure if he knew or not but I was standing a few feet from him.

Yeah, I love it how he says the driver was ok..if I were the owner i would already have a contract out on him, his family, his friends...his goldfish.
Anyways, about the workers driving and beating on your cars...a word of advice from someone who does detail cars, always watch your cars when you take it in, and find a mechanic you trust. If I need something done to my car, I drive it into the garage myself. I only have one mechanic, and I trust him(well enough that I gave him permission to take my car out if he so desired). I have seen people who are supposed to detail new cars, take out brand new cars with 12 miles on them and race the hell out of them, do burnouts, powershifting, dumping the clutch at 5k on new Evos, just completely abusing everything they drive. Seriously, be careful who you leave your car with, that's the best advice I can give you. I have plenty of horror stories.

No question the dealership will replace his car or Chrysler will have their ass in a sling. I am sure that moron mechanic will loose his job and I can smell a possible lawsuite.
I've seen dealerships, mechanics, and detailers beat on cars. That is why I do what I can with the car myself and usually wait with the car while they do the work. This is another reason that I won't buy a new car off the lot. I'll order one and drive it off the damn truck myself.
Fucking morons with no respect. If I ever caught a mecahnic doing that to my car I would make sure he never had any business again.

i valet park on the side, to make a few extra bucks. i've driven it all, except exotics like lambos and other extremely high-end stuff. like Vettes, benzes, jags, etc. i've been sooooo tempted to get on them and have fun... but i know that i would just be fucked beyond fucked if i did that. it's all about willpower, guys =)
by the way, if any of you valet park and have to drive a Benz with a standard transmission... i'm sorry. the clutch pedal pressure on those is a BEAR.
