Couple of problems with a 93 Camaro

Hey everyone,
I recently was passed a family heirloom, my dads old 93 Camaro but with the condition that it's in it has a little work to be done on it, and since I'm not a car guy per se, I was hoping to find some help here..
First, the oil pressure gauge is just about pegged all the time at freeway speeds. Just idling, it goes down to about 45, then when on the freeway it goes up over the 80 mark.. which worries me. Is there a thermostat or valve not opening all the way that I should check somewhere?
Second, the drivers side window is just about dead. It rolls up very slowly, then stops after about 2 or 3 seconds and I have to open the door, and grab ahold of it and pull it up the hard way. How hard is that to replace?
Third, and most worrisome is the check engine light. It only comes on when Im doing about 65-70mph and am about 2000 rpms. Any faster or slower than that and the light turns off, and it cant check the codes on it while the lights on because I don't want my head under the dash at 70 ;). Any clue what this might be? Is there a way to check for the most recent code with the right tool?
Thanks a lot,

1. the gauge may be reading wrong. If it does vary with engine speed/load you're ok. It's bad when it reads too low.
2. Replacing the window motor is not too difficult. I believe there is a tool for taking off the door panel. I think Kragen has it.
3. The code is stored. You can read it anytime. You can clear it with most readers.

As far as your window problems go the motor may not be bad. Try opening up the panel and greasing up the different parts that move the window up and down, that usually helps speed things up a bit.

ok the oil pressure is probly a bad oil pressure sensor, on the LT1 i beleive its screwed into the block by the oil filter.
the window, your motor is dead, 85% sure of it. its a bitch, if your not handy, pay the dealership to do it. takes hours on a fourth gen camaro. the whole regulator has to come out, and its rivited into place, so you have to drill out all the rivets, remove the window glass, collaps the regulator, and manuver it out through a poorly designed hole in the back of the door. all after removing the door panel of course. then you have to lock the regulator in place, drill out the riveits holding the motor to the regulator, remove the motor, and put the new one in place, assuming it lines up perfectly, if not, you have to release the setup holding the regulator in place (its spring tenison holding it, very strong, and you have to wrestle the motor into the regulator witout loosing any fingers. then put it all back together, rivit it all in, and put the panel back on and clean it all up. its a pain in the ass, and takes multiple hours to do.
the code, once set, is stored in the computer, the dealership will scan it for you for a one hour checkout fee. my guess with an LT1 and the optispark ignition is a misfire at highway speeds. but i could really be anything. a lean code or something perhaps. wont know till you have it scanned.
