Creaking Seat

my 96 T&C has a creaking from the drivers seat when turning. Dealership says the track is broken and needs to be replaced, but this is very costly. I was hoping some of the "do it yourselfers" here would have a home remedy for this, or have some advise on correcting it. Creaks and rattles drive me crazy and this is the only one i havent been able to correct on my own. Thanks for any help.

Also if you have any creaks or rattles in your van, send me a message and we can try to find it. with the exception of the member who has creaking from under the hood...... have no idea on that one

My mother's 2000 creaked as well. The track was broken and expensive to fix. We simply went to local junk yard and picked up a newer seat. Creaking is all gone and seat is more comfortable then the original.

im happy with my seat, is there a way to remove the track from the seat when i find that junkyard bargain? we have a local salvage yard that deals only with chrysler, so im thinkingof calling them and asking for just the track..


was it hard to get the seat out?
