Hello All,
I was wondering if there is a place where I can get detailed specs on the removal of the dashboard, and how to repalce the check engine light?
Thanks for any help

I have a 98 'Burb and replacing the dash lights is very simple. If yours is like mine, just CAREFULLY pull the trim away from the dash and set it aside. Move the tilt steering all the way down, SET THE PARKING BRAKE and move the gear selector into first gear. Then remove 4 (?) ity-bity little tiny screws from the corners of the gauge assembly and carefully pull it straight out. You'll likely have to jimmy it around to get it beyond the steering wheel, but it's really pretty easy. All the gauge lights will be very simple to replace at this point.
A dealer here in Salt Lake said the only way to fix the dash lights was to buy a new gauge assembly. I didn't believe them, and I was right. :screwy: EVERYTHING is fixable. It just may not be like new when I'm done :icon16: Hope this helps.
