Change Transmission Fluid

Seems to me this question was never asked before here.
My 95' Aurora keeps on telling me "change transmissin fluid" this week. So I had fluid changed for $55 even though the mechanician told me not necessary. Changed the filter and cleaned the bottom cover. The problem is still on. (but I really felt switch is now smoother).

Somebody suggested me to reset the computer system. BUt how?

Any help will be appreciated

I think this is a first - everyone else has an Aurora that says 100% life on transmission fluid. Something bad must have happened - how many miles on it?
To reset on the D.I.C. you just have to hold in the reset button until it changes - should take about 5 seconds.

I agree - 'what happened' that caused the indicator to tell you to change the fluid? Did you ever check the % of life remaining - over what period of time did it decrease? What % was showing before you reset it to 100%? With 90k on my 1996 - it still shows 100%.... getting ready to change fluid and filter as a preventative measure anyway.

While I'm not curtain...
I limped home some 250 miles after the 3rd and 4th gear shift solenoids shelled out on my wife. It burnt the crap outta the fluid. Over the course of that little 2nd gear jaunt the fluid life went from 100% to 60%ish if I recall correctly. That's the only time mine has changed.
