I have a 88 with a 5.7 TBI, and i have read a little bit on throttle body spacers, and they seem like one of the cheapest and easiest addons to install, but i asked a mechanic from home and he said they are all hype and really dont do anything? Anyone notice any power or fuel milage increases with throttle body spacers?

I put a throttle body spacer on my '93 Silverado 5.7 and it made a noticeable difference in power. That and a K&N filter. My buddy also put one on his '94 with the V-6 and same thing, big difference. I bought the helix tower that Street&Performance makes. He used a Trans-Dapt. Hope that helps you decide.
