When to use the term "Rice"

Okay! Now for the uneducated! The term "Rice" needs to be defined. I have been reading mad posts in here and it is killing me at what people call rice. The term applies to the following scenarios:
1) For current U.S. purposes, only Acura makes a vehicle with the official "Type-R" designation. That means if you drive a GM, Dodge, Pontiac, Daewoo(for crying out loud), Kia,Lincoln, etc, Do not put a Typre R badge as you will be dealt with serious bashing!! This also applies to Hondas as only in countries outside the U.S. have Type R Accords and Civics.
2) Stickers. Don't put them on if they are not in your car. Period!!
3) Bodykits. Depending on the use. If you're a poser meaning for show, then go all out in good taste. If you're a racer, be smart. Don't put wings on your car if a)It's bigger then the car itself. b)Defeats the purpose of all the mods in your car i.e. i/h/e. c) You car can never reach the levels that will use the aerodynamic properties of the kit.
4) When detailing your car with decals, please, I beg of you. Know what team sponsors your car. If you drive a Honda: Mugen, Spoon, etc. NOT TRD OR NIZMO! I've seen some that is why I say it.

i think everyone should be able to distinguish what rice and what isnt rice ......i know that everybody has differant taste and stuff but come on guys ......rice is just ugly looking PIECE OF $H!T :D and i just wanted to say if you cant tell the differance between rice then you should just burn in hell :devil:

First off the Neon, :rolleyes: I once thought this too, until I got my ass handed to me by a Neon. This fucker was fast. It was completly blacked out. One thing that made it stand out was this massive hood scoop. This dude was ruuning 12's I have heard. I guess he has a massive turbo setup and has really done a nice job. The guy who owns it is a mechanic, and really knows his shit. The corrolla, come on, you cant be serious this here (http://members.dencity.com/trueno/index.html) is one nice corrolla, here (http://www.club4ag.com/) is another site with corrollas that could put up a good fight. I have noticed that a larger and larger amount of messages across on a lot of message boards spend time on "Rice". Its getting out of hand. I think we have to many RICE posts.

Examples are the Corolla's and Escorts, these are nice rally cars, and for you to say that they are rice when they are modified is just plain stupid. Well to begin with im not young, and i dont race. I simply drive to and from work, thats about it. And trus tme buddy i can take the heat, so ill stay in the fucking kitchen if you dont mind. Im not affended by what you say rather in the fashion you have said it. This is an off topic forum so you can post what ever makes you happy, keep in mind also that the opinions in this forum are just that. Actually Kris, the sedans I'm referring to are the Corollas, Neons, etc. Maxima, Audi, BMW, etc have sedans which are not even in question, so don't catch feelings just yet. And, I didn't say sedans are worthless, I have an Accord. :D Seeing as how people get offended quickly, here are some pics of "Rice" cars. Oh and John98R/T, you act like the Neons been on the scene with a rep. Let me spit some facts to you and your car. This is Dodge's first attempt at coming out with something to compete in the import scene or racing period. You act like the Neon has a racing history dating back like for years. GUESS WHAT!! THERE IS NO HISTORY! The only reason your car is fast as it is, engine aside, Power to weight ratio. As I said before, Neon came out with Economics in mind, not performance. Now I am not bashing economic cars and saying you can't modify. That wasn't even't the conversation to begin with! You come out and say you go to and from work, then why the fuck you gonna start some shit like you car hauls ass!!! Moron!! I drive an Accord 4dr, I just bought it. In the process of modifying it, am I gonna put crazy shit on it, not really, but it will be modified in good taste. Now if it's a challenge you wanna make, I'll just get my old VR6, and hand you your ass at every stop light, every highway, and what not. So do the research before you go on here and talk shit when you have nothing to back it up!! I say this cuz I just read some of you other posts in other forums! hey about neons...i know you can make them fast as hell but i've always wondered who the hell would want to modify those things. i've driven both generations and i'm sorry but they have nothing to offer (the 2nd generations are considerably better thouhg). just nothing is good about those cars except they don't cost much

They are also good for autocrossing. I got mine for budget reasons though and fixed it up to make it "mine". The way I look at this....I like my car and that's what matters...no one else has to.

Here is my .02 for today.
I think everyone has there own definition for "Rice". Depending where you live and the types of vehicles driven there, plus if there is a modding scene or not makes alot of difference. Maybe where you live ppl drive ugly shitmobiles with huge fast engines, or maybe econo-boxes with stickers and bodykits, and no getup-and-go. It all depends on location.
To summarize my tiny-ass paragraph, IMO, what people call Rice is probably much different in some places then others.

i have a 98' neon highline and was wondering whether or not it is considered "rice" a lot of guys say that it isn't worth the investment and that it is rice. havent done n e thing yet but hope to in the next few months. i was wondering if there is n e thing that i can do that will give me more power or something that i can modify that wont make it look like rice. i love my car and dont care what pple think. i love to speed in it too. i love to take my car to 100 mph on a highway or open road. im known for my speeding. the 5 0 love my car and follow me all the time. i was thinking bout a bodykit do u have any ideas that will make it look cool but not stupid i have seen some stupid bodykits on cars they think n e kind will go on their car and it will look cool i dont think so but i want something that will go great with my car. if u have n e ideas please let me no. and let me no what ur take is on spoilers i dont have one i was wondering. i want the new mirror tints on my car i think they would look sweet cuz my car is a silver color what do u think.
