Here is the completed kit.. it was a giant pain to build and certain pieces after tweeking have not been alligned yet. there is also a number of items that remain unbuilt like the gas cap and front trunk hinges, but other than that its ready... hope you like it:

I think it's on the photoetched badge. Anyway it's damn cool to have a black Enzo. Can I have that engine compartment? :naughty:

Absolutely fantastic SLK. You must be very proud. It probably caused you some headaches as you alluded to earlier but the photos certainly confirm that it was all worth it. Well done - I hope, dream more like it, one day to get close to your level of skill.

Awesome, the most evil looking Enzo ever. The metallic black looks great in the daylight. Your hard work on the detail is evident.

Very, very, nice. I've been planning to build mine in black too, and you've convinced me that's it's about the baddest Enzo color I've ever seen.

Excellent workmanship. You should be very proud!

thanks everyone. It was one of the most difficult builds I have ever done. mainly becuase of the carbon work and the superdetailkit.

Yvonne.. whats missing?

That is simply stunning work and build, your progress thread is a great tutorial on many subjects. If the one I build is half as good I will be a happy man...

I still think Black is not the right color for a ferrari though, but that is just me :) but the paint job is perfect...

I'm waiting to see your version which should be 10 times "better" since you're so good at nitpicking.

ywwong
05-07-2004, 09:31 PM
^^^ I am sorry I am not nitpicking.. but I just wish he can correct those since the rest of the model is so perfect. Details count, you know.

My version was done half year ago and it was totally built box-stock with studio 27 PE. Nothing special compared to what slk320 has done.

If you guys don't like my honest critique, I will not post next time, I will just post "yeah... great" "Wow.. amazing" blah blah blah.. but i thought it is what this forum is for.

I appreciate ywwong attention to detail and honest critique. Thank you.

I should have specified that I modified the badges to better suit my individual taste... so I know they are "prototypically correct"

Thank again for all the comments.

Not a fan of the black wheels on a black car...would much rather see them in gunmetal, polished/cast ally or grey CF, but your build really put to great use both Tamiya's and SMS' engineering and products to the test.

Really nice job!

not a fan of black wheels, I should say that I only like true alu look of wheels but I am a bit older and that could be just me. Everything else look fantastic.
