I recently purchased a '93 Grand Am that needs some window work. How do I get the door panels off?

there are a few screws. Most of which are around the outside lining of the panel. one on the side, and two or three under. These are Phillips head screws. There is also a Torx screw in the section of the door handle/lock. also, there may be one screw underneath the arm rest on the door. With these out, the door will remove more or less easily, but you should watch around the handle and the lock, because you have to maneuver it around them.

thats it if you have power windows, if not there is a little clip that holds the window retractor handle on. this is a pain to get off, I have been told there is a tool to get it off, you might want to try getting one, or just spend about 20-30 mins with a very small flathead screw driver, and no small childern around, because you will probably be cursing like crazy every time you almost get it.

you can also try using a rag by sliding the rag between the window crank and the door panel, sliding the rag back and forth should pull out the clip

Thanks to all who replied. My apologies for leaving out some important details(like it's a two door coupe w/power windows). After some extended searching, I finally found a long silver screw underneath the base of the handle around the center of the door, more or less. Both panels are now off and I'm planning to install new regulators. Thanks again!
