i dont know of anyone who has done it, and probably would be waayy too much trouble as you would have to do sooo much modifications, you'd have to get a right hand drive dash, move everything around, move the brake and accelerator around, you'd have to customize it so that the throttle cable will go to the accelerator to the throttle body without any problem, the wiring harness behind the dash will have to be completely redone, it just doesnt seem like its worth the trouble.

2 options

1. buy an entire front clip from a GTO off ebay and go swap happy, including the firewall.
2. Find the guy on cardomain that bought a front clip off ebay along with the AWD stuff and is currently making his base into a VR4. And buy all his crap that he is selling. Which is everything you need for RHD.

Lets see pics of this crazy thing when its done!!!

isnt RHD illegal in states except for skylines? if you wanna import a jdm gto it would be easier! and u could get a vr4 for prob cheaper considering they're domestics there its like buying a camaro here somewhat... ok well not really at all. a good site to buy jdm cars is rizubi.com/aucent.htm (usr:rizubi1 pw:37440) theres nice stuff

You're probably better off importing one into the United States than doing the swap. It's alot of work, and you aren't guaranteed a quality job.

well it cost my old boss like 12k to convert his skyline but thats all new parts so yeah. i would imagine like 7k maybe on the high end not sure though

They are actually going to convert the skyline? I thought the reason that Nissan never brought the car here was because the engine layout prevented the car from being LHD.

I'm confused. :1zhelp:

RHD isnt illigal in the US, look at all the mail trucks crusing around. and importing a car is even more of a bitch. you have to get the dot approved, which means crash testing a few. that is why motorex(sp?) charges so much to make a skyline legal of here. they had a huge upfront cost.

the gto is already in the us though so all you have to do is install your crashbar and replace your windows and egr system etc. no crash tests involved

its cool, but still i don't think anyone would really give that big a hoot if you had a right hand drive car.
