Water on passenger side

Hi all,

Sinds today I have a 'water' problem on the passenger side. It turned out to be ice that is melting. This ice is formed on a black box (where the heater/airco pipes are entering the car) under the dashboard.

When I'm driving it becomes ice. When I kill the engine for a while, it will melt. Does somebody knows this problem ? How can I fix it ?

I have a Dodge Caravan from 1998.

I can't say for sure if this is your problem, since I do not know that much about cars. I had Plymoth about 17 years ago (my first car) and the drain hose where the water drained out of the car from the air condistioner condensor was plugged. It caused water to leak into the passenger foot area. (It wasn't frozen, but it was ice cold.) I unpluuged the drain and it was fine. Does the problem only happen with the AC on? I am sure someone else knows more.

It happens when I use the Airco. I don't have a hose and exit for water. The only thing I have is a metal output. Can I put something in there safely to see if something is blocking the exitway ?

It seems like that the airco is not turning off again when it's running. This way it get to cold which explain the frost inside.

Is there something like a thermostate for the airco or a relais that has to do with this problem ?
