a/c isnt cold

hi,

my a/c hasnt been cold since i bought the car...about a week and a half ago....i took it to a dealer to have it flushed, and belts/hoses replaced...its a 94 vr-4 so i guess it has that new refrigerent...should i just add more???

I think my 94 was still using freon - not going to be cheap.

i had the same problem with a 93 blazer that i had. i spent about 50$ on a kit from auto zone and charged it myself. i think it was a freon system and i put the new stuff in it. it worked all summer. with no problem. then i recomended my boss to do the same thing on a 90ish cavelier and about 2 days later he was on the side of the road. so its up to you. if it was me i would just charge it with the good stuff. don't feel bad i am in the same boat. but i think i'm gonna just cut the weight and remove all of the a/c crap. good luck!
