im guessing thats aimed at me ;) ok cuz i was wondering if you had like 4.10 gears or something that was shocking the trans, but yeah sounds to me like either the trans housing is shot, and is eating up all the new parts when you put em in, or when the trans was serviced they never flushed the lines and cooler, so there was bad fluid filled with debris in there. or the cooler could be clogged, lack of fluid flow would roast a trans pretty quick. also how are you driving it? alot of manual shifting or anything??? because that tends to accelerate damage to the trans.

not promising. my shop dosnt flush transmissions, we drain and fill, and flush the cooler, but you sound like you need a full tranny flush. clean out all the bad blood, and put new fluids in. at least 3 or 4 hours labor, 240-320 bucks.

ouch turn me over and fuk me in the butt... i hate labor very much lol 250-300 could of been a mod :(
bolt on cold air? lol ram air? is it possible to drain the tranny ur self? i have a pair of those roll up ramps where you drive up em.... if you had some instructions on how to do it? also u need like 5 bottles of tranny fluid? (1994 z28) I just want to save3 money as cheap as I may sound 250-300 is ALOT for me...
btw I could just drill a hole in the bottom of the tranny and when im done letting it drain just stick a piece of bubble gum in it :P
just kiddin ... any how IROC&RS I thank you for all your help thru this
if you could give me a semi detailed message on how to do it (if u know) id appreciate it much.

its so easy to drain the tranny. just unbolt the pan, let the fluid drain, buy a new gasket, take the old gasket off, put the new one on, bolt up the pan, and put fluid in. at least thats how i did it.

well therein lies the problem. see what youre lookin to do in your driveway, is just a trans service, pull the pan, drain it, clean it, put a new gasket on and bolt the pan back on. although we also put a new trans filter in it. thats only an hour, $81.50. and i dont think will help your problem, because thats what theyve probly been doing every time. what you need is for them to hook the machine up to the trans cooler lines, and pressure flush the system. in both directions. in addition to cleaning out the trans case. and doing the service that you are talking about. so i mean yeah you could very easily do what your talking about, just be careful not to over tighten the pan bolts, they dont have to be very tight, probly around 89 in/lbs. over tightening cracks the gaskets. but aside from that its pretty much a no brainer. but like i said, the real fix is gonna be the stuff you cant do in the driveway, just cuz you dont have the equipment. sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
